This stunning fluffy little man is looking for love and a new best friend!
Seamus is a people pleaser and wants to be by your side at all times. He is a happy go lucky chap and has a great outlook on life despite starting his life with limited social interactions and experiences.
Since coming into care Seamus has learnt what it's like to be an inside dog, a true member of a family and has learnt to share his bed, food and toys and most importantly human cuddles and attention with other little doggie mates.
Seamus is still learning, every day, and takes everything in his stride. He loves to go for walks and to the dog park, sometimes things can be a bit overwhelming for him but he is always willing to give everything a go and if he has a trusted human or doggy sidekick by his side his confidence grows and grows.
Seamus just loves attention, in true toy poodle form he wants to be the centre of someone's attention, at all times. He is learning that the world doesn't end when his humans go out without him and having other little canine buddies really helps him to cope.
Seamus loves other dogs, in fact, he needs other dogs to make him happy. He even likes cats! Essentially he is a lover and is happy to share his love around with felines, canines and even kids. Seamus prefers smaller dogs and would love to live with a small female dog that he can run and play with and snuggle when a human lap isn't available, but humans are definitely his snuggle of choice!
Seamus has a few requirements if you want to be his new forever family:
- You must already have another dog, one that doesn't mind sharing their family
- No full-time workers, this little guy is a love bug and misses his humans too much when they aren't home
- Secure fencing (no explanation necessary!)
- A fun-loving and patient family that is willing to help Seamus with his confidence, who won't wrap him in cotton wool but will help him be the best dog he can possibly be with training, socialisation and reassurance
- Ideally no small children, older kids and teenagers would be better
- Families who understand that poodles have lots of breed specific behaviours, and will love them no matter how poodley they are (said with love, and written by a poodle owned and poodle obsessed person!)
If you think you can be this little curly haired gentleman new forever home, please fill in AN APPLICATION FORM with as much detail as possible.

Please note: completing an adoption form does not guarantee that an adoption will take place.
Melbourne Animal Rescue Inc. reserves the right to choose the most suitable applicant and reject those deemed less suitable.
Occasionally, there can be multiple applications for the one animal and there is NO 'First In - Best Dressed' - the multiple applications are vetted for the most suitable.
We do our utmost to contact all applicants, including those who are unsuccessful, to inform them of the result but as we are staffed by volunteers, most of whom work full time, occasionally responses are overlooked and we apologise in advance if this occurs.
MAR does not adopt to those who are not permanent residents of Australia.
